Beyond the Lion’s Gate: From Awakening to Creation

A Collective Tarot Reading for August 10–24, 2026

Greetings, beautiful Golden Famille. ☀️💛

For this week’s newsletter, I felt inspired to bring you directly into a part of my own spiritual practice.

We have just moved through the 8-8 Lion’s Gate, and rather than looking backward at the portal, I wanted to ask what comes next.

So this morning, I sat with my cards and asked:

Before I could really begin, three cards immediately jumped from the deck:

And what a way to begin.

🌎 The World — Crossing the Threshold

The World represents completion, but every completion carries the seed of another beginning.

Coming directly after the Lion’s Gate, I see this as crossing a threshold. Something has integrated, something is ending, and something new is becoming possible.

What are we bringing through the doorway with us—and what are we finally willing to leave behind?

⚔️ Queen of Swords — Slicing Through Illusion

Next came my Queen of Boundaries.

She brings truth, justice and discernment. She asks us to cut through illusion and question what we are being shown.

What is true? What is noise? What belongs to us—and what have we simply absorbed from the world around us?

This isn’t about becoming cold. It’s about seeing clearly.

🔑 The Hierophant — Spiritual Understanding

The third jumper was the Hierophant.

Together, these first three cards tell quite a story:

Spiritual growth isn’t simply about gathering information. Eventually, knowledge must become wisdom—and wisdom must become something we actually live.

The Now Moment

🔥 Seven of Wands — Hold the Higher Ground

Moving into the present, the Seven of Wands tells me that crossing a portal doesn’t mean everything suddenly becomes peaceful.

There may still be chaos, conflicting information and noise coming from every direction.

But we’ve gained higher ground.

We don’t need to fight everything that comes at us. We need to discern what actually deserves our energy.

💙 Knight of Cups — The Heartbeat

At the heartbeat of the spread sits my empath knight, the Knight of Cups.

He observes the emotional landscape before deciding how to proceed.

And I love him beside the Seven of Wands because he reminds us:

Strength does not require hardness, and discernment does not require losing compassion.

📯 Judgment — The Awakening

Then comes Judgment.

The trumpet has been trumpeteered! 😂

The sleepers begin to rise.

Something dormant is awakening, and sitting directly beneath the Hierophant makes this message even stronger.

We aren’t simply being invited to learn about spirituality. We’re being invited to awaken to our own relationship with it.

What Are We Moving Toward?

🔥 King of Wands — Integrity & Passion

Our future begins with the King of Wands: integrity, passion, courage and leadership.

But I’m not necessarily talking about leading other people.

I’m talking about becoming the authority within yourself—knowing what you stand for and having the courage to live it.

⛵ Six of Swords — Moving Into Calmer Waters

Then we move from troubled waters toward smoother ones.

But we don’t leave the past empty-handed.

We bring the wisdom and information we’ve gathered along the way.

💔 Three of Swords — Removing the Stick in the Wheel

I don’t see the Three of Swords here as a prediction of heartbreak.

I see recognition.

As the waters become clearer, we’re finally able to recognize what has been causing the pain—the interference, the old wound, the third wheel, the proverbial stick caught in the wheel.

Once we can see it clearly, we can begin to remove it.

The Clarifiers

🌱 Seven of Pentacles — Re-evaluate

The farmer has planted his seeds and now stands back to examine what has grown.

What worked?

What didn’t?

What deserves more nourishment?

The coming weeks invite us to re-evaluate what we’ve been planting and decide what we truly want to continue growing.

🌳 Four of Pentacles — Ground Yourself

At the heartbeat of the clarifiers comes a very simple message:

And please, beautiful Famille—don’t become Chicken Little. 😂

The sky doesn’t have to be falling every time the collective becomes noisy.

Come back to yourself.

👑 The Emperor — Become the Creator

And THIS is how the tarot spread ends.

The Emperor.

Structure. Authority. Foundation. Creation.

I absolutely love that The World opened this reading and The Emperor closes it.

We begin by crossing the threshold.

We end by asking:

The portal may open the doorway, but eventually we have to become active participants in our own creation.

So perhaps the message for these next two weeks is this:

Re-evaluate what you’ve planted.
Hold your higher ground.
Keep your heart open.
Discern what is true.
Remove the stick in your wheel.
